Why Every Woman Should Journal

A few weeks ago, I decided to purchase myself a journal.  I know it’s pretty bold to use the words everyone should journal.    However, the benefits are worth the time vested. I believe that we get thoughts that jump into our hearts in mind that are messages that guides us to our future selves.  Believe that if you are on the right course for your life the pieces will fall perfectly together. this will happen without much resistance or backtracking.

I was inspired to write my thoughts down on paper after reading , Becoming, by Michelle Obama.  It was eye opening for me to listen how detailed she was with her feelings and emotions through every point in her life.   Michelle was able to write a great book through her resource of keeping a living journal.

I recently was in the hospital for heart palpatations and it was discovered that I wasn’t about to have a heart attack that I only needed to slow down, sleep more and listen to my body.  It was almost embarrassing after about 10 minutes in the ER, my blood pressure had reduced significantly without any medications.  I had problems at home, changes on my job and my sons last year of college that had a $5,000 dollar price tag on it. Well, long story short I took the anxiety medication and drove myself home.   I don’t believe in just taking medication unnecessarily and believed that I could find a more natural and holistic solution to my little anxiety issues.

After, that day I began journaling and releasing my inner thoughts on paper.    I noticed I had less in my head and I had the ability to release everything that internally could be holding me back.

Here why you should have a journal:

1. It allows us  to know or remind us we are human.  It just doesn’t give us accountability to others but to our selves.  It’s like having to answer to yourself without words departing the lips.

2.  Keeping a journal can be found to inspire others.  Hopefully. My blogs are inspiring to others.  what a great way to avoid pitfalls.

3. Using a journal helps us to have on paper our goals, and our next step.   I believe in the old pen to paper in goal setting.

4.  A journal is a living document of your thoughts, desires, dreams and countless accounts of how you perceive  the world.

5.  Journaling your life experiences will allow you view yourself as the author of your story and your life .

6.  According  to  Forbes journaling can assist in advancing your career.  This type of journal is an unexpectedly great way to help you work through issues, analyze where you’re at in your job, and grow in your career.
